Tillman Ravine
Location: Mountain Rd, Walpack Township, NJ

Close by Buttermilk Falls, you can take a slight detour to visit the Tillman Ravine, which will reward you with trickling falls down this rock cavern. After this hike, you will also find an old cemetery to check out. If you don’t want to make the hike to Buttermilk Falls and want to check this spot out, it’s very easy to access from the road.

Paterson Great Falls

A National Landmark, the Great Falls in Paterson is something crazy to experience. Found in one of the most urban areas of New Jersey, these mighty falls are massive in size for the small state. Great to visit any time of the year; these falls will leave you breathless. While it may not be a “hike” to see this great view, it’s worth the visit!
Van Campens Glen
Location: Delaware Water Gap Recreational Area

While it may not be a high waterfall, the one at Van Campen’s Glen is unique. With the narrow corridor of water rushing through the rock, this is a great moderate hike to check out in the Delaware Water Gap area. We suggest being very careful with the rocky trail when it’s rainy or there could be snow or ice.

One of the more popular areas in the state for the infamous Mt. Tammany Hike, you can experience some great falls along the same hike! The Worthington State Forest area is home to a good part of the Appalachian Trail through New Jersey, but also has some incredible waterfalls to experience along the trail. These falls are easy to get to from the parking area and offer suitable swimming holes on a hot summer day.
