Once a week, we interview one of our Patrons or a photographer from our Slack community on NJspots.com!

We hope that you learn a new spot or new camera setup!

Who are you, and where in New Jersey are you from?

My name is Kenny, I go by Kenproshot. I currently live in NYC but travel to New Jersey every weekend. I like traveling all around New Jersey, especially the coastline, as there are many great cuisines.

My overall favorite spot will have to be Jersey City as I get the magnificent view of New York.

What are the 3 best spots for photography in New Jersey, and why?

1. Liberty State Park, for the great view of Lower Manhattan.

2. Edwin B. Forsyth National Wildlife Refuge, for the amazing bird watching

3. Fort Lee Historic Park, for the great view of the George Washington Bridge and Upper Manhattan.

What's your camera setup?

Sony a7Riii, Sony 90m f/2.8 Macro, Tamron 28-75m F/2.8, Sigma 35m f1.4

What's your dream piece of gear? Think big!

Hasselblad H6D-400C MS

What's one bucket list photo of New Jersey you haven't gotten yet?

Capture the night stars!

Is this on your list too? We have a couple of guides for that! Shoot the moon, or shoot the Milky Way!

One tip for aspiring photographers?

Don’t be afraid of shooting in public.

What's your favorite part of being a photographer?

Exploring the unknown.
