Once a week, we interview one of our Patrons or a photographer from our Slack community on NJspots.com!
We hope that you learn a new spot or new camera setup!
Who are you, and where in New Jersey are you from?
I grew up in Bloomfield, NJ and had a summer house in Lavallette. I currently live in Point Pleasant.
What are the three best spots for photography in New Jersey, and why?
My go-to spots are Manasquan Inlet, ocean, fishing boats.
But my top three are as follows:
Asbury Park — carousel, casino, boardwalk…
Belmar fishing pier for sunrise (as seen in the cover photo).
Liberty State Park, Jersey City

One tip for aspiring photographers?
I strongly suggest a one-on-one with someone to help you get comfortable with your camera. Then practice, practice, practice — don’t be afraid to try things.
