Who are you, and where in New Jersey are you from?
I live in Bedminster, not from NJ originally. I grew up in Pittsburgh PA but love exploring NJ and the city!
What are the three best spots for photography in New Jersey, and why?
1. Liberty State Park (near the Flag Plaza) has the best view of the Statue of Liberty and NYC skyline. Super convenient and usually pretty quiet.
Brian has taught a timelapse workshop here!
2. Barnegat Light. I love lighthouses and this one has some great spots for shooting sunrises, sunsets, and astro (see bucket list item below). A perfect iconic lighthouse of New Jersey.
Need to explore more lighthouses? Check out our lighthouse map and our list of the most-photographed lighthouses in New Jersey.
3. Mount Tammany is an amazing hike with great compositions with a river and mountains. Perfect for sunrise or sunset if you want to be on the rocks just enjoying life.

What's your camera setup?
I use a Nikon D850 with a Nikkor 24-120 f/4 and Tamron 15-30 f/2.8. Also have a DJI Mavic Air, GoPro Hero 7 and Nikon D7100.
What's your dream piece of gear? Think big!
Probably the Hasselblad H6D 100 MP camera. The resolution and versatility for zooming into my timelapse videos would be amazing. Assuming my computer wouldn’t crash 🙂
What's one bucket list photo of New Jersey you haven't gotten yet?
I haven’t shot the Milky Way yet in NJ. I want to go to Island Beach State Park or Barnegat Light.

One tip for aspiring photographers?
Simple is better. It also takes a while to find your niche, so photograph as many genres as you can when you start out!
