Part of the Appalachian Trail, the Pochuck Boardwalk famous section of boardwalk hiking trail through the marshy lands of North New Jersey. The trail is located in Glenwood, New Jersey and starts off County Road 517. This serene and adventurous 1.5-mile section along the Appalachian Trail is a favorite among locals and also thru-hikers making the trek from Georgia to Maine.
During the 19th century, Waterloo Village was a thriving point on the Morris Canal. This part of New Jersey history, which contains a 400-year-old Lenape Indian Village in addition to the once-thriving port’s colonial town, is plucked down along the beautiful Musconetcong River.
Central Jersey is the hotly-debated region of our great state. And I’m here to tell you that yes, it exists, and yes, it’s amazing to explore. The most popular spots to visit in New Jersey are the Delaware Water Gap, or far south in the Pine Barrens. However, Central Jersey is home to some beautiful parks, swim-spots, and most importantly, great places to eat!
