Among New Jersey’s many gems is Grounds For Sculpture, a botanical garden and art exhibit in one. Located on the former NJ State Fairgrounds, it features larger than life pieces of art that will make you feel tiny in comparison. With 42 landscaped acres and over 270 sculptures to explore, it’s easy to get lost, but that’s arguably the best way to explore. You might even run into some wildlife along the way!
Fall is for apple picking. Young and old, couples and kids alike, everyone loves the quintessential stroll through an orchard, searching for the most perfect speckled fruit. There’s nothing better than the smell of cool autumn air graced with sweet apple aromas swirl as you zigzag from tree to tree. Don’t let that name intimidate you, its true name is Round Valley Reservoir, located in Lebanon, NJ. It’s one of the largest and most deep lakes in NJ, with that being said there have been quite a few people that have gone missing in this body of water, still have yet to be found to this date…hence the creepy “Bermuda Triangle” nickname. Just 30 minutes outside Princeton, NJ lies 1,000 acres of dense forests, wide fields, and lakeside views — the Plainsboro Preserve. The Plainsboro Preserve is owned and operated by NJ Audubon and is free and open to public from dawn to dusk.
